Chemka Hot Springs

Chemka (Kikuletwa) Hot Springs

An unexpected desert oasis with crystal-clear, turquoise waters.

A Hidden Gem in the Savannah

Hidden away in the dry scrublands between Moshi and Arusha, the Chemka Hot Springs (also known as Kikuletwa) are a breathtaking natural wonder. These springs boast unbelievably clear, turquoise water shaded by massive, ancient banyan and fig trees.

The water is pleasantly warm, heated by geothermal activity underground, making it the absolute perfect recovery day after a grueling climb up Mount Kilimanjaro or a dusty safari. Swing on rope swings, spot small fish that give natural pedicures, and simply relax in nature's jacuzzi.
