Itinerary
Mount Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania at 4,566m and is often used as a warm-up trek for Kilimanjaro. The 4-day trek offers a more relaxed pace and better acclimatization compared to the 3-day option. Because the lower slopes are located within Arusha National Park, you will likely see abundant wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and buffaloes. Accommodations on Mount Meru are in comfortable, well-maintained mountain huts.
